This course offers an understanding of API RP 580/581 Risk-Based Inspection. Mark Harmody

Training Team Leader and RBI Technical Authority at Equity

Mark Harmody currently leads the Training Team while serving as an RBI technical authority at E2G | The Equity Engineering Group, Inc.. He also serves on the API RP 581 Steering Committee. Previously, Mr. Harmony managed E2G’s team of Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) project managers, inspection specialists, and technical assistants who were responsible for executing RBI implementations and reassessments for refineries and chemical plants using the guidance and technology detailed in API RPs 580 and 581. During this extensive RBI project experience, he has also become a skilled practitioner of API RBI software to calculate risk for inspection planning. Mr. Harmody has assisted in the testing and development of the RBI technology within the API RBI software, including consequence analyses and asset modeling. He also has experience as a mechanical engineer for an owner-user providing engineering support for piping stress analyses, thermal design of heat transfer equipment, capital project management, and turnaround support.
